A MAN found to have been driving after taking cocaine has appeared in court.
Adam Michael Pay, 31, was stopped by police after driving erratically earlier in this year.
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Barrow heard on November 28 that Pay, of Butler Street, Millom, narrowly missed hitting another vehicle and then hitting a wall when driving through the town on The Hill on June 1.
The court was told the man was found to have had 11 micrograms of the class A controlled drug in his blood after being tested by police officers - one microgram over the legal limit.
He also was said to have caused £700 to a Volkswagen Polo after colliding with it.
Pay pleaded guilty to the charge.
Magistrates fined the man £120 and disqualified him from driving for 15 months.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
