TICKETS are still on sale for Friday night's comedy extravaganza at Ulverston's Coronation Hall.

The Planet Mirth crew are back, this time under their Friday Night Live guise.

Four Edinburgh Festival award-winning, prime time TV smashing acts are on offer this time.

Glenn Wool is a comedian whom you may have seen on tour with Reginald D Hunter. You might also have heard him on the Freestyle podcast with Frankie Boyle, caught him on Doug Stanhope’s, “The Comedians’ Comedian’s Comedian”, or enjoyed his appearances on one of the prime-time comedy shows such as “8 Out of 10 Cats”, “Never Mind the Buzzcocks” or “Russell Howard’s Good News.”

Following another sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival, the Mock The Week regular and host of BBC R4’s “Newsjack”, Angela Barnes heads to Ulverston. Sarah Millican became a mentor after the pair met at the 2011 BBC New Comedy Awards which Angela went on to win. 2018 has seen her appear on Live at the Apollo and tour her new show “Fortitude” which is about turning 40, being child free, and nuclear bunkers.

Winning the $25,000 dollar grand prize in the 2007 Great Canadian Laugh Off, Paul Myrehaug launched himself into the television, radio and festival circuit including: two appearances with CBC’s “Ha!”, a feature on The Comedy Network’s “Comedy Shorts” and performances at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Paul has entertained troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Italy and Kosovo and won a spot in the finals of the Boston International Comedy Competition. You can also hear Paul regularly on XM Sirius Satellite Radio and the hit show “The Debaters” on CBC Radio One.

On MC duties, Geordie funnyman Jason Cook completes the line-up.

In 2012 Jason’s sitcom “Hebburn” was commissioned by the BBC for a full series on BBC2. Vic Reeves, Gina Mckee, Chris Ramsey and Fresh Meat’s Kimberley Nixon joined the cast in a story based on Jason’s own life and upbringing in the South Tyneside town of Hebburn. Hebburn earned him a Royal Television Society Award, the Journal Culture Award for “Best Writer” and a National Television Award nomination.

Tickets are on sale now direct from the Coronation Hall on 01229 587140.
