YESTERDAY it has been reported that some Ulverston councillors objected to a member of the public putting his mobile charger into a wall socket, despite it containing vital medical information.
Ulverston and Rural Furness Labour Party put a post on facebook saying that Conservative Councillors at Ulverston Town Council prevented a member of the public from putting his mobile charger into a wall socket, despite it containing records of his medical history following a serious heart attack.
A spokesperson for Ulverston and Rural Furness Labour Party said: "The owner of the phone had recently had a serious heart attack and has an "in case of emergency" app that records next of kin details, drugs needed and medical history details.
"Without the charge, the details would not be readily available to paramedics in the case of a second heart attack."
Reports have been made into these claims and we are awaiting a response from Ulverston Town Council and those involved.
