A COMMUNITY health group have asked people to meet them at Booths in Ulverston for a simple health check to help reduce the risk of having a stroke.
Ulverston and Dalton Integrated Care Community have told residents to come down to Booths in Ulverston on Thursday 22 November for a pulse check that can help detect an irregular heart beat or what is technically referred to as atrial fibrillation.
They are also running the checks to help develop greater awareness around the condition that can lead to an increased risk of having a heart attack.
The scheme is being run for atrial fibrillation awareness week and the simple test can be completed in one minute, enough time to detect the condition.
The team will be at Booths in Ulverston from 10am-3pm.
