A HIGH-END supermarket chain in the North of England has asked for a product recall on their festive mince pies because they may contain pieces of plastic.
On 16 November Booths supermarkets recalled a batch of their mince pies because they may contain pieces of white plastic, making the product unsafe to eat.
The potential presence of plastic inside the product has been described as presenting a safety risk.
The batch affected includes the four pack of mince pies with the batch code: P/463246 and best before: date12 Jan 2019.
Booths have asked anyone who has purchased this product to return it to any Booths store for a full refund.
No other Booths products are affected and they have apologised for any inconvenience this has caused.
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all the Booths stores explaining why it has been recalled.
