HIT tunes from the early 1990s got the young folk of Dalton up on their feet for dancing.
The Mail, on Monday, August 8, in 1994 featured the youngsters having a great time bopping to the latest hit recordings.
DJ Alex Linney was spinning the discs at a junior disco held at the Dalton Leisure Centre – which is best known for its swimming pool.
The only dancer’s name recorded at the time was that of Chelsea O'Brien - who had travelled in from Roosecote for the event — perhaps you can spot a friend or relative among the others?
The best selling record in the UK singles charts for 1994 was Wet Wet Wet with Love is All Around which sold 1.78m copies and spent 15 weeks at number one. Other top sellers that year were Saturday by Whigfield and Stay Another Day by East 17.
