A MODERN day Romeo and Juliet first kindled their love over Facebook.

Emma Sneesby, 29, a skincare manager and Bradley Waddington, 29, process operator first met when Emma poked Brad on Facebook in August 2015.

Three years on, Brad and Emma, now Mr and Mrs Waddington were happily married at Clarence House Hotel in Barrow on August 18.

Friends and loved ones all showed their support on the special day and the couple were really pleased that Brad’s sister, Leah Waddington was able to attend, as she was previously ill leading up to the day.

Preparations for the wedding started as soon as Brad got down on his knee at his older sisters, Yvette, 30th birthday party in Manchester.

Emma said: “Brad stole her thunder, but don’t worry all was forgiven when we asked Yvette to be a bridesmaid.

When asked about their relationship Emma said: “I never wanted to get married until I met Brad and I would never do it again, haha -we had the best day ever.”

For the stag party Brad and gang flew to Amsterdam in April 2018 to apparently "visit lots of museums", but Emma was not convinced.

For the hen party Emma and her entourage headed to Benidorm where Emma and her family have holidayed for many years.

Once there Emma got the surprise of a lifetime when Emma’s mum, Ruth, turned up to surprise her, followed by her dad, Tony.

Emma said: “My dad must have been the only man to have been on both a stag and hen do.”

The couples theme for the wedding was what Emma called “Harry potter meets Games of Thrones festival.”

Best shown through the images of the coupling battling it out with swords.

When asked about her choice of theme, Emma said: “The theme just had to include Harry Potter, I am a number one fan.”

Emma’s dress was from eternity by Nina Justin Alexander and her headpiece was by Eleventh Heaven. Emma’s ring was provided by Lindows in Ulverston and Brad wore his late fathers ring. Emma's hair was done by Tori Millis of the Hair Lounge, who was also one of the bridesmaids. Flowers were provided by Posh Flowers.

Kimberly Archer was the maid of honour and Jason Clements was the best man. The ushers were Rob Sneesby, Gaz Simpson and Mark Morgan. Bridesmaids were Tori Millis, Emma winder, Nicola Hazzard, Casey Lee, Yvette Simpson, Bethan Waddington and Leah Waddington.

For the reception guests had a relaxed BBQ, then a fine curry and chilli for evening meal. Catering was provided by Crofters. For the honeymoon the couple went on a Game of Thrones tour to Dubrovnik.
