THE Cumbrian Railways Association is holding a conference featuring aspects of historic rail transport.

It had an information stall and display at the recent Barrow Model Railway exhibition at Barrow Sixth Form College and is holding its day of talks on Saturday, November 10, at Newton Rigg College, Penrith.

Presentations include a look at photographs taken by Noel Machell on the change from steam to diesel on Cumbria’s railways.
