Strike action by the RMT union today and Monday will affect Northern services across the Bradford district.

On both strike days, the majority of services will run between 7am and 7pm, with services on some routes finishing earlier.

The operator has said it aims to run 900 services across its network covering the whole of northern England.

People travelling to and from Bingley Music Live today have been advised that the last service will leave Bingley well in advance of the event's finishing time.

Some rail replacement services are in place, with trains and replacement buses expected to be extremely busy.

The operator has advised passengers to allow extra time for journeys, plan carefully and consider whether travel is necessary.

People who travel on a either of the strike days and experience a delay of 30 minutes or more in their journey are eligible to compensation through Northern's Delay Repay scheme.

Customers with season tickets that don't include bus travel, who decide not to travel due to strike action, can also claim compensation.

To claim, passengers can submit an application form via the Northern website here.

Passengers can to rail tickets on Arriva Bus services - including Yorkshire Tiger - today and Monday to make journeys they would otherwise have made by rail.

Industrial action is also affecting Merseyrail and Southern services.
