1 Embrace the start of the festive season with the Santa Dash and the Christmas light switch-on in Barrow tomorrow.

The Santa’s will be walking, jogging and jingling their way around the route from 1.30pm-3.30pm.

Make sure to stay around afterwards to watch the Christmas light switch-on starting at 6.15pm.

2 Think Floyd will be gracing The Forum, Barrow, tonight at 7.30pm. Join the extraordinary band, dubbed the Definitive Pink Floyd Experience, who are renowned for their stunning celebration of the music of one of the world’s greatest bands.

3 Head to Ulverston to enjoy the Dickensian Festival from 10am-4pm tomorrow and Sunday.

Described as a fantastic celebration of Christmas and Charles Dickens, and probably England’s finest Christmas market, it is sure to bring festive joy to all.

4 Trinity Church Centre, Barrow, is holding a Christmas Fayre tomorrow from 2pm-4pm.

Entrance to the fayre is £1 which includes a refreshment. There will be a number of stalls, competitions and raffles at the event.

5 Back the Bluebirds tomorrow as they host Barnet F.C. The Bluebird’s are playing at The Progression Solicitors Stadium with kick-off being at 3pm.

6 Rock out and raise money for Mind tomorrow night.

GGM is presenting, in association with The Newton Arms Pub and Black Shed Drums, a rock and roll fundraiser, in aid of Mind - the mental health charity.

The event will feature music from Big Trouble, No Idea, Dangerous Liaison and Mellow Skies.

Doors open at 7pm, with £3 entry payable at the door.

7 Watch the South Lakes Rock School as they return to The Forum on Sunday and pay homage to great British rock band, Queen.

Show one will see the minirockers take to the stage at 3pm, show two will start at 5.30pm and show three will begin at 8pm.

8 Celebrate 50 years since the opening of Barrow Youth Centre at The Forum tomorrow with the Barrow Catholic Youth Centre Motown and Soul Night.

An event not to be missed, it will be the ultimate celebration of 50 years of soul.

9 Head along to the Antiques and Collectors Fair at the Coronation Hall, Ulverston, on Sunday at 9am.

Browse the wares of the many traders who will be at the fair as part of the Dickensian Festival celebrations.

There will be lots for sale, including books and jewellery - and you can treat yourself to a brew and cake at the same time.

10 Pop along to any of the area’s parkrun’s tomorrow morning at 9am to enjoy a free 5k event.

Anyone is invited to join Barrow parkrun, Ulverston’s Ford parkrun, Fell Foot parkrun and Millom parkrun.

All ages and abilities are welcome, as well as buggies and four legged friends.
