Department store chain John Lewis have pulled the plug on DVDs after a sales fall of 40 per cent.
The firm have said they will stop putting out players once stock has run out.
With the rise of Netflix and Amazon Prime, DVDs days look set to be numbered.
Prices of DVD players have fallen as low as £20 at supermarkets.
John Lewis have said that Blu-ray players will still be sold.
The cheapest Blu-ray player is £79 at the store, with the most expensive over £400.
