BARROW AFC have always done their part in raising the footballers of the future, and today The Mail is revisiting some of their popular junior training camps where the players of the future are trained.

In 2013, a half term football camp was held at Barrow AFC ground in October.

The kids camp was a great success and the young players enjoyed training drills and games supervised by the Barrow players.

At the end of the camp the whole group posed for a team photo.

In 2014, a special Christmas soccer holiday camp was put on for the junior girls of Barrow.

Another camp organised by Barrow AFC; this one was held at the Park Leisure Centre.

It was a very well-attended camp which saw the juniors receive coaching from Yasmine Swarbrick and Mark McAloone.

Even though the camp took place close to Christmas, it received a great deal of interest from the community.

In 2017, the All Stars and Mini Squad Barrow AFC football holiday camps was held at Chetwynde School in Barrow.

The school sports camp gave the pupils a unique insight into the training of the club, as well as various drills and training matches.
