UNTIL we can all return to watching our favourite sports in person, we at The Mail are revisiting some of the memories from Furness girls junior cricketers.

With numerous victories under their belt and various success stories, the junior cricketers have shown they have a bright future ahead of them in this sport.

In 2013, a tournament was held for the junior girls kwik cricket teams in the Furness area.

The matches were held at Dalton Cricket Club.

The game saw young Dane Ghyll getting in a few good runs, as were Grace Floyd and Casey French when it was their turn to bat.

Later in the day saw Ameyah Harrison throw some impressive bowls for Low Furness School.

In 2014, a special guest came down to join the young players during their training sessions.

Junior girls cricket coaching with England international Danielle Hazell paid a visit to Furness College to pass on some of her tips and tricks to the junior female players.

Danielle is an Right-Arm Off Spin Bowler.

Inspired by the international player, Tyeisha Stamp, of South Walney Junior School batted some good runs during the practise games held later on in the day.
