IT IS no secret the high street is struggling and Covid has not helped.
The Mail has taken a walk down memory lane featuring people, businesses and shops that have graced the high street over the years.
In 2014, the Cumberland Building Society welcomed two new managers, Kevin Pybis as the Building Society manager and Sarah Washington is the Estate Agents manager.
June 18 was recovered as the hottest day of the year in Barrow, which gave a chance for the locals to visit the high street and take advantage of the good weather.
In August, The Ice Bucket challenge was taken on by former Barrow MP John Woodcock. And Traditional American Indian dancers performed on Dalton Road in September 2014.
