WITH the revival of Karate Kid on Netflix this Autumn, The Mail has been taking a look back at the successes of Barrow's champions.
In 2014, Members of the England Karate team from Barrow brought back a collection of medals and trophies after a successful trip to the Spanish Open European Championships.
Later that year Barrow’s own Kempo Karate club made their own successful competition in Dublin, coming back with multiple medals between them in various categories.
In 2015, Barrow martial artist and World All Style Karate Champion Tom Younger competed in and won his competition in Portugal.
