THE MAIL revisits the gymnastic achievements of the young athletes in our community.
In 2011, Megan Roper from Furness Gymnastics Club competed in the Cumbria Gymnastics Association 2 Piece Novice Individual and Team Championships.
2012 was the year when Gymnasts Shannon Archer and Willow Ripley wowed the crowd in the Children in Need day at Cambridge Primary School in Barrow.
In 2013, the Cumbria Floor and Vault competition was held at Furness Gymnastics Club in Barrow and hosted was by Kendal School of Gymnastics.
The Over 13 champion that year was Emily Armistead.
In 2015, Barrow Yarlside Primary School team members took part in and won at the Key Steps Gymnastics County Championships held at Penrith.
