Barrow and Furness residents are no strangers to cycling events with many watching on or taking part over the years.
Taking a ride down memory lane to 2002 Caroline Alexander competed in the women’s mountain bike competition for Scotland at Rivington Pike, in the Commonwealth Games.
The same year Kyle Peers won The Tour de Furness prize draw and received his prize from Rotary Club of Furness president Russell Longton.
In 2012 British Downhill Mountain Biker, Reece Langhorn flyew through the air on the downhill trail on Gummer’s How.
The British Cycling GoRide event in 2015 attracted Barrow cyclists to race down the Pearl Izumi Tour route through to Roa Island.
