THE MEN of the thin blue line have served our community faithfully and The Mail is going down memory line to some of their contributions.

From the Officers of 1925 to the top cops of today Barrow Police have always been there.

In 2015, The Mail reported the day Rob O’Connor took his new post as Superintendent for Barrow Police following an extensive 23-year career which saw him tackle terrorism, drugs, and gun men.

In February of that year the Barrow Police also moved to their new Police station.

In March, former Barrow Police DCI Bob Qazi took up a new role as Fundraising Manager at St. Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston.

In 2016, Officers took part in the Great Derwentwater Tiger Boat Challenge Race to raise money for the Calvert Trust.
