THEY say school sports days are the best days of your life.
The Mail takes a stroll through the archive to look back at some of the moments from our community’s school sport days and the triumphs of these future athletes.
In 2014 The Mail reported Barrow's St George’s Primary School got to hold their sports day on Furness Academy’s sports field. Pupil Kyle Carswell of Year three took part in speed bounce race.
In 2016, Chetwynde School pupils were treated to a special outing to Barrow AFC's Community Sports Fun Day. The kids got to meet coach Oliver Carswell and later took part in their own mini tournament.
And Young Oscar Lynch impressed his classmates in 2004 with his long jump of 4m 14cm at the St Bernard’s School, Barrow, annual sports day.
