A FEAST of shocks and fun was presented to fans of dark comedy as Barrow Amateurs presented the hit Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors in 2002.
The Mail, on Tuesday, May 14, noted: "It tells the story of Seymour, an insecure errand boy who works in Mushnik's Skid Row florists.
"He adores fellow shop assistant Audrey from afar but shy Seymour feels incapable of making the first move.
"When he discovers a hybrid plant which develops a taste for blood he thinks the plant will make his fortune - only things do not turn out quite as expected.
"The plant, named Audrey II, develops a voracious appetite for human flesh.
"It also talks and demands to be fed.
"Little Shop of Horrors began building up a cult following when it was released as a film in 1960.
"Barrow Amateurs last produced it in 1992."
Barrow cast members included Andrew Barrow as Seymour, Sarah Carrick as Audrey and Tony Flanagan as Mr Mushnik.
