ALL the things which can go wrong when running a Cumbrian railway will feature in a talk at Broughton on Wednesday, January 23.
The Mail's nostalgia writer Bill Myers will be the guest speaker at the 7.30pm meeting of Duddon Valley Local History Society in Broughton's Victory Hall.
His presentation is called A horrible History of Cumbrian Railways and will include everything from crashes to a locomotive vanishing down a mine.
You can also find out about the steam locomotive crew in Victorian times who ended up in big trouble for drinking and driving at Broughton.
