A bottle of rum was £2.46 and a bottle of Emva Cream sherry was 55p from McLaughlin's, in Brighton Street, Barrow.
A lad, aged 16, was fined £5 for improvising his own set of obscene words to the National Anthem while cheer leading behind the goal at a soccer match at Holker Street, Barrow. He told police: "It's only a football match." He was ejected from the ground after complaints.
