WE are turning the clock back 10 years to when popular TV cooks The Hairy Bikers switched on Barrow's Christmas lights.
The date was Saturday, November 22, in 2008 and there was a huge crowd outside Barrow Town Hall to watch the fun.
Last weekend Barrow youngsters Jasper Holt, his brother Oscar and Jay Wright did the switch-on honours at the Barrow Bid-sponsored event and were backed up by a performance by Barrow singing group Voce.
In 2008 Barrow's Dave Myers told the crowd of around 3,000 in the Town Square: "It was an absolute honour. Thank you for inviting me."
His Geordie pal Si King said: "Can I consider myself an honorary Barrovian yet?"
The crowd screamed: "Yes".
