While Furness Moto X riders were picking up major awards at tracks all over the country last weekend, two novice road racers from Barrow were doing likewise on Three Sisters Circuit near Wigan.

Local Moto X riders have again been keeping the Furness flag flying high on tracks around the country in recent weeks - bringing home some impressive awards.
Since the Covid restrictions were eased many motorcycle event organisers have been cramming in what would be normally be a full season of championship rounds into a few short months.
Whilst some local riders were enjoying a great weekend’s sport at the Nostalgia Scramble on the Westmorland County Showground near Kendal last weekend in perfect weather conditions, another group of Furness riders on more modern machinery were trying to cope with thick mud further south when the Acerbis Moto X series finally got underway on the Farleigh Castle track near Bath.
It is good to see that the Covid-19 restrictions are certainly not deterring the long-established Westmorland Motor club.
Great news for motorcycle racing fans; the Isle of Wight have announced their plans to hold a road race meeting on closed roads there in October next year.
