SOUTH LAKELAND DISTRICT COUNCIL Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 Town & Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) 2012 Regulations
Development Management Policies Development Plan Document (DPD) Examination: Consultation on Schedule of Proposed Main Modifications
The Development Management Policies DPD will provide detailed policies that will be used in the determination of planning applications, and to help manage and shape the quality of new development.
An independent Planning Inspector, Mr Philip Lewis (Hons) MA MRTPI, was appointed by the Secretary of State to hold a Public Examination into the soundness of the Development Management Policies DPD. The examination hearings took place on the 12 and 13 June 2018, with the Inspector confirming that further modifications were required in order for the plan to be considered 'sound' and that these modifications should be subject to further consultation.
We have now prepared an updated schedule of Main Modifications, as well as an Addendum to the Sustainability Appraisal and an updated Habitats Regulations Assessment.
We are now inviting comments on all 3 documents between 25 October and 5pm 6 December 2018.
Any comments made will be forwarded to the Inspector, who will consider them before preparing his final
report on the DPD.
