LANE, KIRKBY LONSDALE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out surface water drainage works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along the following lengths of road:
1. B6254 Deansbiggin, Kirkby Lonsdale, from its {unction with the CSI06 Hophouse Lane, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 500metres.
Alternative Route: via the C5I06 and U5374.
Duration: from 20 September 2021 for approx. I week

2. C5I06 Hophouse Lane, Kirkby Lonsdale, from a point approx 150m north of its junction with the A65 extending in a north­westerly direction for a distance of approximately 370metres. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C5I06, B6254.C508I andA65.
Duration: from 27 September 2021 for approx. 6 weeks (Ref:SLC2l/32)
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
(i) Apply to anything done with the permission or at the
direction of a police constable in uniform; and
(ii)Have the effect of preventing at any time access for
pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads,
or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and
only from the roads; and
(iii)Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to the Highways Hotline 0300 303 2992 or email

The Order will come into operation on 20 September 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as stated above and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
