THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U2I05 LOW MILL, TORPHENHOW, B5299 MEALSGATE AND B530I MOOTA)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable United Utilities to carry out utility works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along the following lengths of road:-
1. U2I05 Low Mill, Torphenhow, from a point approx. 230m south east of its junction with the A595, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 315m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U2I05, U2I04 and the A595.
Duration: From 16 September 2019 for approx. I day.
2. B5299 Mealsgate, from a point approx. I km south east of its junction with the A595, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 370m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available the unrestricted section of the B5299 (towards Wefton),B5305andA595.
Duration: From 17 September 2019 for approx. I day.
3. B530I Moota, from its junction with the A595, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 500m.

A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the B530I, C200I, U2278 and the A595.
Duration: From 16 September for approx. I day
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and

2. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roadfs), or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road(s); and

3. Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works. Any queries to Cumbria Highways, Joseph Noble Road, Lillyhall, Workington, CAN 4JH (0300 303 2992) quoting reference GII0/I7/AI44.

The Order will come into operation on 16 September 2019 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that each closure will only be required as detailed above.
