THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE ALLERDALE AREA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.I) ORDER 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria Highways to carry out Highways works ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force.

Phased works will not necessarily be done in numerical order.

Cumbria Highways will ensure that local residents and the general public are informed of which roads are to be closed and when, nearer the time.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:

1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and



2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and



3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and



4. Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works.



Plans showing the locations and details of the alternative routes are available for public inspection at the offices of Cumbria Highways, Joseph Noble Road, Lillyhall, Workington CAI4 4JH or Tel: 0300 303 2992 Please quote the reference specified in the Schedule.

The Order will come into operation on 27 May 2019 and may continue in force for a period of up to eighteen months from that date as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, although it is anticipated that it will only be required for approx. 4 months in total.

1. U2I88 Scots Croft, Bridgefoot - Approx. Duration 2 days (Ret G110/19/AI31) From its junction with the C2065 extending in a southerly direction for approx. 100m.



Alternative route: Via the unrestricted section of Scots Croft, Fell View, Valley View, U2I90, C2027 and C2065.

2. U2I90 Greysouthen-Approx. Duration 2 weeks (Ref: G110/19/AI32)



From its junction with Harpers Lane extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 1.4km. Alternative route: Via Valley View, Greencastle Brow, Main Street and Harpers Lane.

3. Park Lane, Workington - Approx. Duration 2 weeks (Ref: G110/19/AI 33)



From its junction with Oxford Street extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 420m. Alternative route: Via Princess Street, Vulcans Lane and Oxford Street

4. Cranbourne Street, Mossbay, Workington - Approx. Duration 2 weeks {Ref: Gl 10/19/AI 34) From its junction with Northcote Street extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 80m. There is no suitable alternative route available



5. U2209 Scales Road, Lorton - Approx. Duration 2 weeks (Ref: Gl 10/19/AI35)



From its junction with Crossgates extending in an overall north easterly direction for approx.l5km. Alternative route: Via the B5292 (Whinlatter Pass) and Crossgates

6. Rydal Street, Workington-Approx. Duration I week (Ref: Gl 10/19/AI 36) From its junction with Park Lane extending in a westerly direction for approx.45m.



Alternative route: Via the unrestricted section of Rydal Street, Corporation Road, Queen Street and Park Lane.

7. Ling Road, Seaton, Workington-Approx. Duration I week(Ref:GII0/l9/AI37)



From its junction with Cape Road extending in a south easterly then north easterly direction for approx. 180m.

Alternative route: Via Inner Ling Road and Cape Road.

B. C2306 Dean-Approx. Duration I week (Ref. Gl 10/19/AI 38)

From its junction with Shawbank Brow extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 300m. Alternative route: Via the unrestricted section of the C2036, C4006 and Shawbank Brow, Dean.

9. C20I6 Broughton Beck Bridge, Papcastie Road, Broughton - Approx. Duration I week (Ref: G110719/AI 39) For approx. 20m either side of the centre line of Broughton Beck Bridge.



Alternative route: Via the unrestricted sections of Papcastie Road, C2007 (Broughton), A66, Low Road and Gote Road.

10. Gavel Street, Maryport- Approx. Duration I week (Ref: Gl 10/19/AI40)



From its junction with Curzon Street extending in a south easterly direction for approx.220m, Alternative route: Via the unrestricted section of Sandy Lonning, Ewanrigg Road and Curzon Street

11. Sandy Lonning, Maryport-Approx. Duration I week (Ref: Gl 10/19/AI40)



From its junction with Gavel Street extending in a south westerly direction for approx.35m. Alternative route: Via the unrestricted section of Sandy Lonning, Ewanrigg Road and Curzon Street

12. Windermere Avenue, Maryport-Approx. Duration I week (Ref. Gl I07I9/AI40)



From its junction with Sandy Lonning extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 110m, There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

13. The Beeches, Maryport-Approx. Duration 2 days (Ref: Gl 10/19/AI41)



From a point adjacent the property number 83 extending in a south easterly then westerly direction for approx. 110m. There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

14. B5300 Crosscanonby-Approx. Duration 2 days (Ref: Gl I0/I9/AI42)



From its junction with the A596 extending in north easterly direction for approx. 4.6km,

Alternative route: Via the unrestricted section of the B5300 (Silloth), B530I (Aspatria) and A595 (Maryport).

15. B5301 Aspatria - Approx. Duration 2 days (Ret G110/19/AI 43)



From its junction with the A596 extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 4.6km.

Alternative route: Via the unrestricted section of the B5300 (Silloth), B530I (Aspatria) and A595 (Maryport).

16. C2027 Greysouthen - Approx. Duration 2 days (Ref G110/19/A144)



From its junction with Hotchberry Brow extending in north easterly for approx. 2.2km, Alternative route: Via the C2036, High Brigham Road and Hotchberry Brow.

17. B530I Dubstang Culvert, Aspatria-Approx. Duration 4 weeks (Ref: Gl 10/19/A 145)



From a point approx. 300m north west of its junction with the C2002 extending in a north westerly direction for approx 200m.

Alternative route: Via the unrestricted sections of the B5301, B5300 (Allonby) and A595 (Maryport).

18. U2083 East Mill Bridge, Harriston, Aspatria - Approx. Duration 2 days (Ref: Gl I0/I9/AI46) For approxJOm either side of the centreline of the bridge.



Alternative route: Via the unrestricted sections of the U2083, B5299, U2077 (Baggrow) and U2081.

19. A5086 Black Beck Bridge, Near Ullock-Approx. Duration I week (Ref: Gl 10/19/A 147) For approx.30m either side of the centreline of the bridge.
