JACKSON (Gray) Dorothy 86 wonderful years, 17th November 2021, having been in the wonderful care of AMU, Ward 9, and going to sleep in Abbey View, surrounded by her loving family. Taken so suddenly from us, but now at peace. Howard and Deborah can now through their mum's strength announce her sudden passing. Our very precious mum Dorothy (Dot) cherished and devoted wife to the late John (Jacko). Most dearly loved and cherished grandma to Elizabeth, Victoria, Joe, the late Elisha and adored great-grandma to Hallie Elisha. Grandma was so proud of them all and felt privileged that they belonged to her and dad. A loving grandma to Ross, Victoria's future husband and lovely Emily. Most loved youngest sister to Tom and sister-in-law Judy in Tasmania and a cherished sister to the late Jessie, brother-in-law Alan, brother Bob and sister-in-law Anne. Entwined together with love, laughter and a pure zest for life. Forever keeping a watchful eye over her loving nieces and nephews and their families. A much adored cousin to dear Shirley and Brian and the late George, Gwen, Marian and Harold. She thought a lot of our respective families and shared so many wonderful days with them. Dorothy had so many life long friends from Walney, Barrow Island and afar whom she thought a lot of and has touched the lives of so many people along the way whom she has appreciated and cherished for their kindness. Friends please meet for a service at St James' Church on Friday 3rd December at 10.00am prior to cremation at Thorncliffe Crematorium. Mam would want you all to wear bright colours and smile, to celebrate her life of love. Family flowers only please, donations for St Mary's Hospice may be sent via the Little & Caine website.
