WILSON Richard Yelverton Richard Yelverton Wilson, retired Consultant Urologist at the University Hospitals of Morecombe Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday 11th January 2021. Loving and devoted husband of the late Geraldine Wilson for 50 years. Beloved father of Fiona, Gavin and Murray. Treasured grandfather of seven and a loving father-in-law. Richard will be greatly missed. A private funeral service will take place at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Ulverston, on Tuesday 26th January 2021 at 11.30am, followed by a committal service at Thorncliffe Crematorium, Barrow, at 1pm. Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, to be shared between Ulverston Inshore Rescue and the Oncology Unit, Furness General Hospital and may be left in church or sent c/o Little & Caine, 48 Ulverston Road, Dalton 01229 462564. Please note that due Covid-19 and government restrictions only those persons contacted beforehand by the family will be able to attend the funeral and crematorium services. Please could any persons wishing to offer their condolences outside the church/crematorium please abide by the current government guidance and keep socially distanced.

God bless you all. Mr Wilson was my consultant for 9 years. He went above the normal and he operated on me at another hospital. How many surgeons would do that. I owe my life to him He was such a lovely caring man and will be missed by everybody who knew him RIP Mr Wilson xx.

Mr Wilson was my consultant a number of years ago and i found him a real genuine guy. Saved my life.

It was an absolute pleasure to have worked as your medical secretary at FGH. I have lots of memories of you that I will remember forever. You were one of the best and always encouraged me to do more. I popped along today to pay my last respects to you and say my final goodbye. You will never be forgotten. RIP Mr Wilson **** ❤️
