No more musical mystery tours where we always got lost either on the way going or definitely on the way back. No more early telephone calls where you serenaded me with 'Morning has Broken' and no more Scrabble games where I had to take charge of the bag of tiles to stop you cheating, we laughed so much the game always lasted twice as long as it should. Despite the very large age gap between us ( some 30 years) we had the same weird sense of humour and could always find something funny in almost every situation. Your cooking prowess was well known for being non-existent but I learned to really enjoy your limited menu of vegetarian meals. I will miss you Ali, I know we had our differences because we were so alike but they were always reconciled. You were such a kind and generous person who cared about other people's problems more than your own and you will always be remembered by everyone who's lives you touched. Rest easily Ali you can sleep well now. Love Christine (Tissles).

Love of my life, partner and best friend. We had lots of adventures together, both near and far, from Tuk-tuk rides in Budapest to Whale Watching in Iceland or just a stroll around Sherwood Forest, I shall miss them all. When you came into my life, you made the house a home and when Archie the Yorkie arrived, we became a family. We were a team, you put up with my birdwatching (for at least 10 minutes) and I endured Reality TV, Britain’s Got Talent and the X-Factor, although I drew the line at Love Island.

Our Sunday board game nights were always fun, even if I did have to stop you cheating, not that you needed to cheat at Scrabble as you would have won anyway!

We had good times and bad times, we laughed, we cried, but we loved each other, and I will always treasure that. Goodbye my love, my Squirrel Nutkins.

All my Love, Steve xxx
