SMITH Vera Late of Middle Hill, passed away peacefully, aged 96, on 27th February 2020, in the exceptional care of Ostley House, Barrow. Treasured wife of the late Frank, adored mam of Valerie, Janet, Eileen and Roger and much loved mother-in-law of Frank, Jack, Shad and Sarah. Dearly loved Granny Vera to her grandchildren David, Andrew and Jane; Sally, Luke and James; Josh and Charlie and her great-grandchildren Cleo; Jasmine, Lily, Poppy and Frankie; Phoebe Vera; and Theo. Beloved sister of Hetty and the late Roy, Nesta, Mary, Vincent (twin), Tom, Norman, Dorothy, Marjorie and Albert plus a good friend to many. A true Christian who leaves a legacy of kindness, loyalty and happiness for all to share. Friends please meet for Vera's funeral service at St Aidan's Church, Middle Hill, Barrow, on Tuesday 10th March 2020 at 11.00am. Black need not be worn. Family flowers only please.
