OLDFIELD Ray Aged 81 years, of Skelwith Drive, Barrow, passed away peacefully with great dignity on the 20th March 2019, with his loving family by his side, treasured husband and best friend of Monica, much loved dad of Tony and Suzanne, and dear father-in-law to Angela and Tony, cherished grandad of Oliver and Adam, a wonderful brother to Doreen and Robert, brother-in-law, uncle and good friend to many, who will be very sadly missed. Friends please meet for a service to celebrate Ray's life on Thursday, 28th March at 11.00am at The Trevelyan Chapel, Dalkeith Street, Barrow. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to be shared between Furness Cancer Nursing Fund (cheques payable to Bay Hospital Charity) and Mesothelioma UK, may be left at the service or sent c/o Little & Caine, 1-3 Dalkeith Street, Barrow. So very sorry to hear about Ray. He truly was a a fine rugby player but most of all a sportsman and gentleman. A man who loved his family and a man with many friends who will certainly miss him.
