After investing almost £100,000 in its four Lake District sites, the UK's largest holiday park operator, Parkdean Resorts, is on a recruiting spree in the region.
The holiday giant employs more than 170 during peak season in the Lake District.
The parks in the area include Fallbarrow, Limefitt and White Cross Bay at Windermere, and Gatebeck, near Kendal, and between them, almost 63,000 holidaymakers were welcomed last year.
In a scramble to get ready for the busiest season, the company will be recruiting a staggering 6,000 across its 66 parks throughout the country, including 750 new faces to be spotted in the North West.
The company offers a plethora of different careers, from cleaners, bar and waiting team members, maintenance assistants, and lifeguards, to security officers, chefs and kitchen assistants.
Further details regarding the roles can be found on the company's website.
The recruitment drive comes with the company's announcement of more than £34m investment in its parks for 2024.
This sum will be channelled towards refurbishing more than 1,500 holiday homes, adding new caravans, plus new food and beverage units.
Out of this bunch, 16 caravans in the Lake District will be revamped to improve accommodation options for holidaymakers.
Steve Richards, CEO, Parkdean Resorts said: "We’re always looking to invest in the guest experience at our parks.
"59 per cent of our customers rebook with us, and continuing to enhance our parks will help bring people back to the Lake District year after year.
"2024 promises to be another busy year, so there’s no better time to join our brilliant team who do so much to help our guests make lasting memories with their families."
Parkdean Resorts employs more than 8,000 individuals across the UK and last year hosted more than three million holidaymakers at its 66 parks.
The company boasts impressive feedback scores and several awards, including three Gold Awards at the British Travel Awards - Best Company for UK Family Holidays, Best Company for UK Parks and Lodges Holidays, and Best Company for UK Short Breaks - the second year straight it had picked up all three awards.
TripAdvisor has also recognised 19 of its parks with the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice.
The company last year unlocked a new milestone when it published its first ESG report.
This outlined the steps it was taking to better take care of its parks, people, and the planet.
Among the commitments stated was a 17 per cent cut in carbon emissions vs 2019, a 50 per cent holiday discount for staff, and donating 150 free holidays to families who need it most.
Parkdean Resorts also aligns with all 17 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
