A resident in Ulverston captured pictures of a lifetime over the weekend thanks to the Northern Lights.
Daniel Burgess managed to take the photos at 12:01am on Saturday when the Aurora Borealis was wowing people across the UK.
He said: "I was alerted by my neighbour about the sky and hurried my way up the Hoad Monument and then I spent about half an hour trying and trying to capture the right image.
"At about 11:45pm, it appeared to be coming to an end but I was dead wrong.
"At midnight, it just lit up the sky again and I managed to capture a moment that I could be proud of - I hope it can be appreciated by others as much as it is by me."
