A group of local amateur radio enthusiasts have seen their efforts rewarded with regional recognition.
The Furness Amateur Radio Society won the 'Best Website' trophy at the NARSA (Northern Amateur Radio Societies Association) Rally at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool on Sunday, April 21.
This was the premier and largest amateur radio event in the northwest and is a gathering of all the radio amateur clubs in the region.
This year, around 800 radio amateurs attended the annual rally, together with radio equipment traders from throughout the UK.
The president of the Furness Amateur Radio Society, Chris Leviston collected the trophy from Radio Society of Great Britain president John McCullagh.
FARS will hold the trophy for 12 months and will then run the website trophy competition at next year's NARSA Rally.
