Residents in Ulverston are being asked to dive into a new venture to help their local rescue team.
Ulverston Inshore Rescue are on the lookout for new recruits to join the service and to help them 'save lives'.
Those interested have the chance to become a fully trained member of the team, giving up their time as a volunteer to support their efforts in the region.
The training includes RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Powerboat Level Two accreditation, teaching new recruits how to handle a vessel.
You will also be taught the ropes around sea survival and RYA first aid.
The team are hoping that the opportunity to man 'The Lady Maria', Ulverston's Rescue RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat), or pilot a thermal imaging drone will be enough to tempt people to try something new.
If interested in this 'excited opportunity', you can message the rescue team via their Facebook page.
