A TRIPLE Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee will be performing at the Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness.
Writer and stand-up comedian Josie Long will be performing her own night at the theatre on Saturday, September 30 at 8pm. This is after she opens Lakes International Comic Art Festival on Friday, September 29 with Frankie Boyle.
The comedian, from Orpington in Kent, has been on the comedy circuit since she graduated from Oxford University in the mid-2000s.
The billing states: "'After defeat, re-enchantment is necessary', said Lola Olufemi. This thought inspires Josie Long's brand-new show of stand-up infused with humanity, compassion and some brief political rants.
"The triple Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, underdog Fringe hero and delirious new mother (the first person to have two babies) returns with a show about the changes wrought by time, passion, moving to Scotland, and loving the world under – let's face it – difficult circumstances."
Tickets for the September 30 show are available on the Old Laundry website.
