A NEW project is assuring local unpaid carers have their voices heard.
Healthwatch Cumbria has developed the "I Care" project to support unpaid carers in South Cumbria and Millom.
Healthwatch role is to be the voice of the people in the decisions that affect them, particularly those who can otherwise go unheard.
In recent weeks, Lisa Forster, their senior engagement officer in South Cumbria has been speaking to unpaid carers and asking them what needs to change about life in the county.
For those who have something to say about life in Cumbria for unpaid carers, there is still time to get involved with I Care.
Engagement on the project will be running until March 12 and there are various ways that people can get involved.
The public can either fill out our online survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ICAREsurvey
Or get in touch with lisa.forster@healthwatchcumbria.co.uk or gareth.cavanagh@healthwatchcumbria.co.uk to organise a chat over the phone.
