A BUSINESS is shining the spotlight on its hard-working staff.
Charnley’s Home and Garden centre at Dalton have started “Meet the team Monday’s” to show their staff some recognition.
Every Monday a member of staff is posted on Facebook with a personalised thank you message for all their hard work.
This week Charnley’s nominated Ann Tyson, who has been with the company for a 19 years.
Ann has stuck by and supported Charnley’s through many changes over the years, said the post. She has worked all over the site and can put her hand to anything, it added.
Ann has worked in the gardening section of Charnley’s and on the tills, but she is probably most known for being a core part of the café where Ann has worked for over 10 years, waitressing and helping customers.
Sam Proctor, the manager at Charnley’s, said: “Meet the Team Mondays is a really nice thing to do. It's important that as a family company we are grateful to the staff who make it possible.
"Ann has seen the company grow up and is a perfect role model to younger staff.
"She needs an award for long service. We think it’s vital that our customers get to know our staff so our regulars can come in and have a chat.”
Posting these “Thank you” notes on Facebook also allows customers to get involved and write a personalised message to a member of staff who did the most for them.
Many people complimented Ann on how 'warm, smiley and hardworking she is'.
'Meet the Team Monday' started on January 23 by thanking Sam, who is “possibly one of the most hardworking, genuine people you’ll meet.”
Other staff who have been called out for their good work include; Kinga, who is always working hard baking something delicious, making coffee or waitressing, Franz who has retired but kindly still helps out, Rhianne, the Coffee Queen, and Chloe who can put her hand to anything with a smile on her face.
