GET your woolly hats and wellies out - Bonfire Night is upon us! We've saved you the trouble and we've picked the top events in the county to attend.


Friday November 4

Coniston Sports & Social Centre - 5.30pm

The annual Coniston village bonfire and fireworks will take place on Friday November 4. Donations are welcome for entry price and food will be available.

Station Inn, Oxenholme - 6.30pm

Bonfire Night with fireworks at the Station Inn, Oxenholme near Kendal with BBQ

Hawcoat Park, Barrow - 6pm

A display of fireworks and a bonfire will take place on Friday November 4. It is asked for attendees not to bring any fireworks or sparklers.

Hayes Garden Centre, Ambleside - 6pm

Ambleside Fireworks night runs from 6pm to 9pm, and includes bonfire night style food and shopping.


Saturday November 5

Arnside Pier - 6.30pm

A free public display supported by local buisnesses in Arnside and public donations. There will be a BBQ

Furness Rugby Club - 6pm

Fantastic display of fireworks for all the family to enjoy. Bonfire, sweet stalls, bar open, hot food.

Cartmel Racecourse - 6pm

Fire is lit at 6pm, with fireworks at 7.30pm. The event is organised by villagers and is free to attend. Food and drinks will be sold.

Cartmel Fell Community Trust Bonfire - 6pm

The procession will leave the Parish Hall by Cartmel Fell at 6pm. With a lantern procession, fireworks, storytelling, children's lantern competition, mulled wine and hot pot. This is not an event to be missed.

Windermere RUFC Fireworks & Bonfire - 6.30pm

Featuring a BBQ, food and refreshments. The bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm and fireworks will set off from 7pm. Taking place at the venue on Dawes Meadow, Longlands Road Bowness LA23 3AS.

Hawkshead Bonfire & Fireworks - 6pm

A fun night out for all the family at the bonfire and celebrations taking place at the Hawkshead Recreation Ground.

Sedbergh Fireworks Display, Howgill Lane - 6.30pm

As well as a bonfire and fireworks display, there's a pumpkin lantern competition, fibre optics and food

Lindal in Furness - 6.30pm

Lindal Moor Cricket Club will welcome back its bonfire celebrations after a year out while the new pavilion was under construction. Doors open at 6.30 pm and fireworks start at 7pm. Hot food and bonfire treats are on sale and the Cricket Club bar will be open.


Tuesday November 8

Dalton Utd Football Club display - 6pm

A bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm and a firework display will light the sky up at 7pm.

There will be a BBQ, Jacket potatoes, Soup & refreshments, toffee apples, candy floss, glow sticks and more. The Bar will be open, also tea and coffee.
