THE North West's best-known soul band rolls into Cumbria for another live appearance at the Brewery Arts Centre next month.

The SoulTrain arrive at the Kendal venue on Saturday February 4 - ahead of their return to Ulverston's Coronation Hall this May.

A heavily-revised line-up has now been playing live for almost a year, and will be in top form ahead of their latest visit to Cumbria.

The nine-piece band perform the very best of the northern soul anthems from Wigan Casino, The Twisted Wheel, and Blackpool Mecca, with their authentic arrangements featuring the blistering sound of The Union Pacific Horns.

The great songs of Dobie Gray, Frank Wilson, The Showstoppers, Al Wilson, Dean Parish, Jackie Wilson, and Tony Clarke, among many others, are performed with pride and passion, alongside some classic 60s hits by such artists as The Four Tops, Wilson Pickett, and Smokey Robinson.

Originally from Darwen, near Blackburn in Lancashire, The SoulTrain have undergone a number of line-up changes in the past eight years but the band continues to pack out venues all over the country.

Following the February date in Kendal, they are back in the region to headline Ulverston's Got Soul for the third time on Saturday May 6.

Last spring's appearance at the Coronation Hall was the first with the new line-up and the success of the night led to them being booked in early for the 2017 show.

Tickets for the Brewery Arts Centre date are available from the venue's box office, and for Ulverston tickets phone 07703 211057.
