HIT BBC drama Sherlock reaches its conclusion this weekend with a special one-off cinema screening.

Vue cinemas in Barrow and Carlisle will be hosting this hotly-anticipated event on Sunday January 15, where audiences will be treated to special features, including an exclusive look back at one of the show’s most loved characters, giving an intimate insight into their role.

Sherlock: The Final Problem is the gripping series four finale of the much-loved BBC drama.

Emmy Award-winning actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman return to cinemas as Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson in this feature length film.

It could be the last-ever series of the show, having launched in 2010. Creator Steven Moffat said he and Mark Gatiss - who write the hugely popular programme - do not want to see the sleuth hang up his deerstalker but need to have a conversation about where the story can go.

Sherlock has been a ratings hit for the BBC, and the new three-part series of Sherlock started on New Year's Day and saw Mary Watson (Amanda Abbington) shot dead as she jumped in front of a bullet intended for Sherlock.

Tickets can be booked online for this one-off screening, which takes place at 8.45pm on Sunday 15th January.
