NASHVILLE rocker Stacie Collins returns to South Cumbria with her live band next month.

The singer-songwriter and skillful harmonica player is back at Bootleggers, in Kendal, on Thursday September 28, having featured at the venue regularly over the past five years.

She tours the US, Scandinavia and Europe regularly and has even spawned a Japanese Stacie Collins tribute band.

Her live line-up also features her husband Al Collins, of Jason and The Scorchers, on bass.

Recalling the style of Chicago Blues greats Little Walter and James Cotton, Collins has garnered a reputation for diverse songwriting and unlike most US female singers, they are not all about love and heartbreak.

Known for her high-energy performance and stage presence, the band power their way through roadhouse rock, with the odd country inflection, in a set of original material, plus a couple of choice covers.

She has featured in magazines across the world, including the UK's Classic Rock, and her sound has been compared to a combination of Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Ronnie Van Zant and Shania Twain.

Her love of Bootleggers is evidenced by the fact that she picked it as the venue for her live DVD/CD, Shinin' Live!, which she recorded over two nights at the Kendal venue.

Stacie Collins appears at Bootleggers on Thursday September 28, from 7.30pm, and tickets are available in advance from the venue or on the door.
