OPERA superstar Russell Watson will be bringing his latest hit tour to South Cumbria this autumn.

The four-time Brit Classical Award winner performs his Serenade show at the Coronation Hall, in Ulverston, on Friday September 22.

Accompanied by his pianist and a guest choir, the world-renowned tenor will be performing songs from his new album, True Stories, together with a selection of hits from his illustrious career.

Watson has sold more than seven million albums and performed for Her Majesty The Queen, The Pope and two US Presidents.

Among other appearances was a performance at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth games in 2002 where he sang to a world wide audience of one billion, at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Coronation Gala Festival 2013, the opening ceremony of the World Games, the Rugby Union World Cup and at the Nou Camp Stadium for the 1999 Champion’s League Final with Montserrat Caballé.

Captivating to watch and enchanting to listen to, he continues to wow audiences with his enigmatic and entertaining live performances.

His debut album, The Voice, held simultaneous number one slots in the US and UK - a world first - spending a record-breaking 52 weeks at the top of the charts.

His second studio album, Encore, soon followed, and it became an even greater success, selling almost two million copies worldwide.
