THE 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's first release is celebrated in a stage show coming to Barrow this month.

The rescheduled Think Floyd concert - which was due to appear at The Forum in November - will now take place at the venue on Saturday February 18.

The 2017 dates mark half a century since The Piper at the Gates of Dawn was released, and the show will include material from that groundbreaking album alongside greatest hits.

With over 20 years of experience recreating the legendary sound of the legendary rock band live on stage, Think Floyd is regarded as one of the UK's finest Pink Floyd tributes, renowned for their stunningly accurate recreations of their live performances.

The members take enormous pride in recreating all the atmosphere, visual magnitude and musical excellence of Pink Floyd live on stage, and their production is backed by a dedicated team of sound and lighting engineers.

The concert atmosphere is enhanced with an impressive laser light show, together with the sheer energy of the band, promising a first-class evening of pure Pink Floyd.

Think Floyd started out as a covers band in London in the the early 1990s, and after a request to play Comfortably Numb was rapturously received, the song became their regular encore. As the requests grew, the whole set soon became Floyd.

The show gets under way at 8pm, and tickets are available from The Forum box office.
