AN afternoon of outdoor music will be held at Swarthmoor pub The Miners Arms this weekend.

Swattyfest 2017 will see six acts performing live in the pub's beer garden from noon on Sunday.

Three bands and three solo artists make up the bill for this popular annual event.

Regular headliners at the venue The Flying Cascara Brothers will be back with a set of accomplished blues rock covers. Expect a set of instantly recognisable '60s and '70s songs, ranging from the likes of Small Faces, The Clash, Ian Dury and David Bowie.

Top hard rock outfit Big Trouble will also be appearing. They play through an array of well-known rock anthems, which often features tracks by the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Whitesnake.

Another act whose set-list spans the 60s and 70s, as well as some 80s tunes, are The Custers, who have stepped in as replacements for Billy Scott, a late withdrawal from the line-up.

There are appearances from vocalists Abbie Clarke and Kathryn Bell, and a solo set from guitarist and vocalist Billy Hogan to complete the bill.

Music runs from noon until around 6.30pm.
