PROMISING indie rock band The Sides launch their debut EP with a headline set in Barrow this week.

The young five-piece top the bill with their biggest hometown gig to date, appearing on a four-act bill at The Nines, on Friday February 10.

Comprising vocalist Macaulay Murray, guitarists James Devitt and Dean Worrall, bassist Jordan Wilkinson, and Tom Malkin on drums, they have impressed on their various outings since making a debut appearance in December 2015.

Having supported the likes of The Dales and Mad4It, they are now preparing to establish themselves as a leading local name in their own right.

The show on Friday will see the arrival of Hesitate , a new four-track release, made up of their best self-penned tracks to date. The EP is the first release to emerge from the new Barrow-based JB Studios, and showcases the talented outfit at their finest.

The Sides' fresh take on the genre pulls together influences such as The Strokes and Moose Blood, in a sound that is likely to appeal to fans of indie and rock alike.

Stoner rock trio Deep Sands will be providing main support on the night, playing from their two EPs so far, with some brand-new tracks potentially making an appearance.

Solo acts Louis Kelly and Sam Murray have also been added to the line-up, with music set to get under way around 8pm. Entrance is payable on the door.
