SOUL Survivors kick off 2017 by returning to a venue that they sold out on their previous appearance last September.

The Furness 10-piece live band will be appearing again at the Nautical Club, on Walney, and tickets are selling quickly once more.

New songs have been added to the set since that last appearance, including the original track The Only Man For Me, which has been picked up by the BBC Introducing radio show.

Formed by founder members of the popular local outfit Chapter Five, a string of well-received sell-out performances has seen Soul Survivors become an equally-respected name on the circuit.

Acclaimed vocalist Danny Smyth takes his place as frontman, alongside fellow singers Sarah Carrick and Tanya McGerty, with saxophonists Julie Rogerson and Justine Blackburn and trumpeter Kim Moore providing the brass section. Chapter Five members Dave McGerty, Alan Davies and Frank Hayes perform keyboards and backing vocals, guitar and bass respectively, and highly-regarded drummer Mike Kidson completes the line-up.

The show at the Nautical Club, on the Promenade, takes place on Saturday February 4, and tickets are available from R&T Music, in Barrow, or from members of the band.
