HOTLY-TIPPED indie pop duo Her's will be headlining a live show in Barrow later this year.

It will be a rare local show for guitarist and vocalist Stephen Fitzpatrick, who makes up one half of the acclaimed outfit.

Joined by his Norwegian bandmate Audun Laading, they return to The Drawing Room on Friday November 10, having supported Horsebeach there last spring.

A big year for Her's has seen them release their debut album, Songs of Her's - a collection of all their recorded material to date - as well as play their first shows at the world's biggest music festival, South by Southwest, in Austin, Texas.

Other major shows have seen them appear on the bill at Madrid's Popfest, and Way Back When Festival in Dortmund, having played the likes of Kendal Calling the previous summer.

Their singles, such as last year's What Once Was , have had plenty of airtime on BBC Radio 1 and 6Music thanks to the likes of DJ Huw Stephens, and they've regularly been featured in national magazines and publications, drawing comparison to acts such as Ariel Pink and Mac DeMarco.

Stephen became known to Barrow audiences as a teenager, drumming in Audio Conspiracy and later Haarts, before making the move to Liverpool for university, where he met Audun.

Together, they have performed a number of shows abroad as well as dates all over the UK, sharing stages with the likes of Happyness, Dutch Uncles and Wild Nothing.

The show in Barrow is part of the Twang live programme, which will also see Cabbage headline next month.

Her's appear at The Drawing Room on November 10, and tickets are available now from the venue and via www.skiddle.com
